Hey Guise! Let's Self-Diagnose!

The three that were significantly greater than the average in order of ranking:

Schizotypal Personality Disorder - individual is uncomfortable in close relationships, has thought or perceptual distortions, and peculiarities of behavior; preoccupied with seeing themselves and/or the world as strange/odd.

This is fairly accurate, though I was more expecting a rating closer to schizoid than schizotypal as I don't tend to get caught up in "magical thinking" and believe I'm fairly rational. I'm not comfortable in close relationships and tend to intentionally isolate as a result, attending social functions out of recognition that they are necessary to accomplish other goals. My behaviour could be seen by some as peculiar and I'm fairly rigid about certain things. I don't believe I have thought or perceptual distortions besides a disregard for some of the cultural or societal morals that seem more of a hindrance of my goals than anything else.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder - individual has a grandiose view of themselves, a need for admiration, and a lack of empathy that begins by early adulthood and is present in various situations. These individuals are very demanding in their relationships. Core issue is entitlement.

I was told by an evaluating clinician that I am in fact a narcissist, but do not qualify for NPD as my narcissism is not pathological. Feeling awesome because you have legitimate accomplishments does not mean NPD. Anything I feel an entitlement towards is something I have earned. I don't feel this is an entirely accurate representation.

Antisocial Personality Disorder - individual shows a pervasive disregard for, and violation of, the rights of others; Preoccupied with disdain/contempt for others and often a need for control/power over others.

I don't believe that I frequently violate the rights of others without due warrant and don't feel a general disdain or contempt for others, again, without due warrant. Most individuals, even after several encounters, will not register on my radar until they've done something to show that they are interesting, valuable, or useful. Very different from contempt, which is earned after gaining attention.

The particular question you've referenced has been recently explained to me. During psychological evaluations, the batteries will include...paraphrasing..."Would you enjoy working with animals?" The inclusion of the bit about researching plants would have one wondering if it's a fluff question.

Tim Flynn does tends to write questions within his tests which ask basically the same question, but phrased in another way. He also asks the same question twice in many of his quizzes, I assume for purposes of consistency. My guess was that he was using a seemingly innocuous question as a function for Axis A scores.

Sure, it makes some sense.  I suppose it can be a barometer of how the line of questioning between the repeats or reiterations of similar questions is affecting subsequent questions.  It might help make sure that the questions, in a way, aren't leading to tainted answers simply through the subconscious effect the question(s) may elicit.  Right?

not enough to be anormal, but not far from it. Considering the way questions are done, the results came out as inconclusive.
