Dealing with sadness

When i feel distress i actively pursue it.

Eventually its gone.

Either a solution is found or time passes, when the solution is not a pleasing one.

Without a solution and understanding, i have no real closure and without that, i can't shake off the negative feelings for good.

Dealing with sadness

My mood bears little significance to my daily routine, so I just go through it regardless of the mood I may posses at a particular time. I doubt that any forced attempts to get out of sadness would be sufficient for me, but then again, I'm not very moody for the most part, and moods fade away relatively quick. A good way to deduce my mood is observing my music preferences at a given time as I tend to listen to the songs that I crave for, which is somewhat impacted by the mood.

Anyhow, a nap may be sufficient.

WW3 stated: source post

maybe she doesnt need turds following her around and barking at her ass.

If there were turds following me around and barking I'd never be sad again. That's hilarious.

Distractions only push the issue deeper. If the problem is solved and whoever it is is still sad, then yeah mope get ice cream or whatever. But not until things are fixed.

I tend to distract myself from the pain. I pet my dog, watch tv, talk to people, fall asleep. I find anything to forget the pain. I don't tend to eat my pain away. I would be more likely to stop eating so I am distracted by a growling stomach. I won't think about pain when all I can think about is my hunger.

calm your paranoia :P

on a side note what if ruminating on the issue doesn't work? do you have a backup plan?

Ruminating is beyond counterproductive...
