Your attack style can work on people who actually care, but against a pure troll you end up feeding them a ton of supply. He's either ignored, tolerated, or appreciated for his brand of humor from oversaturation and expectation, while someone who wants to be taken seriously has room to actually respond to what's being said. I'd say you might as well be yelling at a wall in his case, but walls don't normally enjoy that sort of thing quite like he does, as he isn't taking any of this stuff seriously.
In short, not attacking Jim or finding his antics cute isn't the same as taking his side, and attacking him feeds him more than otherwise. He likes aggro, and you're practically giving it away for free.
I’m not here very often, but I am a good judge of character, and I know a real fucktard when I smell one. This guy is a paedophile who convinced a minor to carve his name on her arm. There are lots of teens here, and he targets them like gangrene on a festering wound. I don’t consider any of his antics “cuteâ€, because my perception of him is coloured by the fact that I see SEE the kind of person he really is.
