I am able to stop drinking. I did so for half of last year and felt no craving. Boredom and enjoyment of intoxication led me back into it. I'm considering stopping again sometime soon. I am working out ideas on different thinks I'd like to do, and being drunk would be a hindrance to all of them.

I just need a worthwhile pursuit and a desire to stop. The latter will flow from the former.
So... there's no desire to stop currently? None?
I hope this answers the question...
Hmm this is why I like to travel and go on road trips. I know that despite not liking school all that much because it is work I do actually like that it keeps me thinking and learning. I think it can be easy to get bored doing the same thing everyday. I go to places like key west, I see dolphins, jet skiing, swimming in the ocean, seeing roosters everywhere, going to six flags, going to resorts, meeting new people, having new experiences, I even did a type of water boarding (the one with like a water skateboard... almost like snowboard on water), go camping, hicking, using telescopes, making smores, trying new restaurants...
It's about making everyday less mundane and taking vacations that can make me less bored. In school I do learn new things everyday and I am genuinely interested in biology.
