You also mentioned that you and your son were homeless on a separate occasion, your daughter is in her 20's and your son is in his teens, when you maimed the guy, your daughter was 2, your son not was not even an idea at this point. So we could infer that there was two instances of homelessness, correct me I wanna make sure I've got all this straight.

A 2 year old cannot make decisions on the matter of housing, she would depend on her parents to keep her warm, safe and with a roof over her head. If you were homeless with her at that time, then yes you did force her.
Your son is incapable of making such a decision, and again by saying that he had been in a shelter with you and so much as to gain 25 pounds or so you had indeed forced him to be homeless.
