I won't know or experience all that there is to something in three months, but it gives an initial taste of what's to follow.
When my interest is held it's because the goal is attainable, but with effort. It happens when every answered question has the potential to bring even more questions to the table. When it comes to people, there's also the additional need to feel matched, in intensity, interests, and ambition but not in an identical way since that would take away from the need to investigate further.
It's like peeling away the first two layers of an onion with the intent to reach the center, only to find that there were 20 more onions hiding inside that are of equal or greater number of layers. If I don't see that, I tend to get bored and move on.
