Alright today I was sparked with this idea from my Bio class. We asked why there wasn't a International Men's Day. (There is, 19th November)
She then said "There will be a International Men's Day, when women are the dominant gender" I of course as did the rest of us, started laughing.
She then argued that women back in the day could not vote, and could not have a job once they got married...
What she said about this all, is correct. However I was annoyed by the fact that this is all stuff that had happened so long ago.
I know there are still countries that still have this.
But in the Australia along with other developed nations today which are mostly gender friendly.
Why are womens rights still being put on the table and used as an argument?
You'd think well abuse. Well yes this is correct. This is still a problem. However men also get abused, Womens rates are higher. Yet many men never talk about it, because it's socially not acceptable for a man to be beaten by a women. So both sides are having issues here, not just women.
What about the gender gap. Well I have a video that explains that quite well:
I can't wait to argue with my teacher about this. And give her the real facts :)
Edit: I did forget to talk about the justice system. The court favours the woman most of the time.
