It's an interesting idea but I don't want it. What if someone spams threads (not posts, threads) or cporn? We will still need a moderator.

I'd be interested to see how this would play out but, unfortunately, I think Tryp's right when he says this'll get abused.

Some form of hiding posts might work though.

The threads are fine as they are now. It is very easy to skip past a user or paragraph you don't care about; just scroll your mouse wheel. Thread moderation would be abused in this community. If you want to see people arguing more, go for it.

 I can understand why you guys might not want to allow users to be banned from posting to a thread by the thread creator, but my idea is... what if you reply with a troll post, its hidden, then you reply with another, and another, and another, how many times must the topic creator hit hide before the troll stops destroying their thread? The solution is to make the troll leave.

It's a feature that I think will improve this forum and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks it's a good idea.

It doesn't matter how good my memory alone is. I'm not the only poster here.

I am for trolls being in threads uncensored to the degree they are currently. I guess what is important is what others feel about that. I wouldn't mind things the other way around either...it'd make trolling more intricate.

What you need to do is fix up the things we need fixed up before you worry about all this other crap.

For example: We need a colored symbol or something that shows a certain color on threads we've replied to and threads we've read.

Possibly. Unless we don't do it to stifle discussions but to only affect things such as "spam" to be defined by the community.
