Fucking godless northern eskimo retards, move towards the equator like your God damn instincts want you to.
"Easy for people who actually get sunlight to claim they hate the sun...."
My eyes are on the light sensitive side, so it's like being half-blind when outside during the day. It's uncomfortable, somewhat exhausting, and my vision feels like a strained reverse vignette.
Night time meanwhile is magical. It's a prettier time, I have more energy, and looking around doesn't strain my eyes. Artificial light reflecting off of wet pavement and dark walls can be intoxicating on the right nights.
Cost of living is pretty high, yes, but it's definitely a boon that education and healthcare etc. is (almost) free. And my experience with healthcare (albeit second hand) has also been a good one. Have had relatives with cancer and a mom with mental illness etc.
Longer daylight is definitely welcome, by the way.
Some stuff here is good. Some is less good. Don't listen to the propaganda.
I'm not here to educate you but, OK take university, the point where you're actually almost right. We have free tuition. That means tax money pays for the buildings and professors. That is quite awesome I must admit. But that doesn't mean you're whole education experience is going to be free. You have to find somewhere to live and pay rent, pay for food, transportation, and those hellishly expensive books.
My student loans will be with me when I die.
That must suck.
I love sunshine. I love the way everything looks in the summer sun. Beautiful bronzed bodies and flowers and seaside scenes. The way melting icicles catch the light in winter and everything feels crisp and clean and bright.
I guess night's ok but I like the whole package. Day and night, colour and shadow.
I'd have to think long and hard about whether or not to kill myself if I ever lost my eyes.
