How Many of The Ten Commandments Have You Broken?

Whether you believe in sin or not (I personally don't), look at the list below and tell us how many commandments you've broken.

If there is an interesting story that explains how and/or why you broke each commandment, mention that as well.

The 10 Commandments List, Short Form

  1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
  2. You shall not make idols.
  3. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain. (I assume this refers to swearing as well?)
  4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
  5. Honor your father and your mother.
  6. You shall not murder. (Does this also mean don't be purposefully cruel to people or is it okay to be cruel to people as long as you don't kill them?)
  7. You shall not commit adultery.
  8. You shall not steal.
  9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  10. You shall not covet. (This is referring to envy)

I've broken 8 commandments, unless committing adultery also relates to cheating on your partner whether you were married to them or not. Then I've actually broken 9 commandments.

There's only one I haven't broken, I think...

So glad you posted them for us. I've broken so many of them I didn't even know what they were, so ended up furiously googling to try to jog my memory. lol

All but one. He's not my god either.

Pretty sure most of us aren't keeping track when we break them. Were you raised in a religious family Reaper?

This one is slightly ambiguous, in terms of what can be defined as a god.  Is anything that we adhere to beyond all other measures of reality a form of deific worship?
