its like... you want a forum that has absolutely zero moderation, but then some spammer comes and shows why indeed a mod is necceary

Getting banned is mostly the result of loosing respect. You can attack someone personally while still making a valid point. If you are afraid that others don't want to hear your clever psychoanalysis it probably wasn't worth the read in the first place.

Also most people here are too proud to ban anyone that managed to hurt them since it would be an admission to being hurt.

ya.. just the whole point of a thread is to discuss w.e the topic of that thread is... this will allow us to keep threads on track (if thread creator desires) without forcing the need for a mod.

You're right but most here enjoy the freedom to post chaotically. They want to be able to do that themselves, get off topic on threads and get away with it. I'm just curious to see how this change would work, despite the risk that it might be shitty. And I am confident we can always turn things back if the forum becomes too oppressive.
