Was searching the old forum to pass the time. Found some old gems. It's amazing how much can change in a year. Ahh nostalgia~

hi everyone,

i have recently been considering the potential problems as a result of global warming. to begin, i would like to say that i don't believe global warming is that big a problem. the earth has shown a history of going from ice age to heat wave back and forth simultaneously. i believe the earth is warming right now naturally as a result of just concluding an ice age.

anyway, even though i find the process of global warming to be natural for the earth, i still think the process could be damaging to climates, farming, and global economies. as a result, i've decided to come up with a solution.

my solution is to move the earth further away from the sun. we can do this by placing nuclear warheads on the far side of the moon. once a month, when the moon is on the sunward side of the planet earth, we can detonate one of the nukes. this will then accelerate the moon slightly in it's orbit, and as a result create a more elyptical orbit that will then have a larger gravitational effect on earth as it circles the side of the earth opposite the sun. this will pull the earth slightly away from the sun.

thanks and vota luna for president 2050!

Hello everyone,

As most of you know, I currently have a start up web solutions company here in China. The company has 1 high profile client which is Hainan University. The other is a lower profile client who runs a couple shops in the city I live.

I'm happy to have their business, and I am in the process of getting some business cards made so that I can pass them out to friends of the owner's at their events.

I'm wondering, though, what I can do to further my cause?

As most of you know, I'm 16 years old. My dream is to build a colony on the moon. I plan to do this by starting this web solutions company, and growing until I have enough capital to invest in my own tech research and development company. The plan is to use my years spent at the computer to my advantage, and to develop new technologies that will make business communication easier. Hopefully this company will grow enough that I will have the capital to invest in the research required to bind bucky ball fibers, and then use that information with the help of some investors to build the space elevator.

After that, I would like to use the space elevator to begin work on the building of both the moon space elevator, and the moon base. I would then like to move to the moon base, and invest a bunch of money in creating a very safe, very high class, technological advanced environment that will serve as the leading research and development base in the now.. solar system. I then plan to use the high prestige and image of the new moon capital to recruit the worlds greatest minds.

I then plan to begin research into asteroid mineing, and lead the first successful mission to mine an asteroid. The profits from which, I will donate to the construction of a school in New York city. I will then use the publicity to let the world know that this metal will soon be available here on Earth for extremely cheap. Then I'll recruit Chinese miners to mine the asteroids, and begin the first off world industry capable of employing millions of humans, and creating new sub-industries out of that.

I will have solved the world economy, and created an environment for humanity that allows us to focus our efforts and profits on expanding into the universe.

For my business, the only thing I can think of to do right now is to continue studying Chinese, continue providing my two clients with valuable, quality service and software, and trying to network and meet new people as best I can.

It's a boring life. Everyday I wake up and I just have small meaningless things to do. Check up on the clients, maybe pick up a USB from the photographer, or go to class, but like it's all so trivial. What can I do to make major progress at this point in my life?

Please be serious and a good person and help me follow my dreams! It will help not just me but all of humanity!

Ah, my favorite quote. I had it as my signature on PF. How nice of you to remember it.

I'd also be wary about insisting that Whoa should be judged by his chronological age - he could, after all, be Thrill Kill's soul mate, as I've mentioned previously. Perhaps in that case we should view his developmental age as being around fourteen - the same as Thrill's! What a coincidence!

I was very mature at 14, so I'll take that as a compliment. Thanks.

You're still behind us by 9 years, Helena, which must suck for you.
