well i definitely think the standards have changed. aka, large no longer means a larger healthy weight person.

i'm a sincerely large assed female. i wear an eight when carrying some extra pounds. six when i'm not. 

Sincerely is how you show your ass to others? Do you look coyly over your shoulder, or do you plop it down and give the very serious sincere stare.

I checked at a few stores I shop at (banana republic, jcrew, h&m) and they all 8&10 as a medium.

I say 8 is a medium, I'm not so sure 10 is though. Once you get into the double digits I say you're a large :P

I'm a double digit. Size 11 US. I love my frame. I got hips, curvy and a nice ass. I would not call me fat or skinny. I like food. I'm sure my tits weigh 8 pounds in total though. Lol
