My hip/waist ratio always measures very close to .70. Even 20lbs overweight, it looks ok compared to some body types.
Isn't anything over an 8 considered plus sized, at least some places?
It was 12 when I went to modelling school. (I trained as a plus size model. Yeah yeah, call me a liar now :P)
That was in 1991. I believe models (emphasize the word MODELS) are considered plus size at size 10 now.
Plus size specialty stores carry size 12 and up. 12 is difficult to find, tho. You might as well say they carry size 14 and up.
Most regular size stores carry sizes 0-14.
So I'd have to say that size 12 is still the cutoff for plus size if plus size stores don't carry size 10.
Except for the ass, you and Kim are very close in size. She's a hobbit too. Your ass is smaller, tho.
I wouldn't have thought you would have to suck it in to get a measurement of 27" You look so tiny.
I'm the one everybody keeps trying to fat troll and I only have a 30-31" waist (Yeah I have a serious problem with bloat. The 1" fluctuation happens daily. I go up to a 32" when I'm on my period :P)
Someone mentioned it's hard to find particular sizes. I agree, 10-12 gotta be tough sizes to come across. Some women are 12 , but size 10 jeans fit them in other styles-- and some are 10, but size 12 fits them with another style of clothing. When I say im 11. My legs are definitely size ten, but my tummy is more like a 12, I had children. And I have a big family than most.
Of course size 10 would probably be healthier on me ( stomach wise ) but I ain't sweating it like I did before. The last 15 -20 pounds just ain't worth me going into an eating disorder again. I know my mind set. Cause when I loose that 15 pounds; I'll just want to loose another 15, repeating a cycle I don't want to travel on anymore. The control was too much. So if I'm a fat person to some that look in on me. Then so be it. :-)
I think I look good for a women of my age.
by lewdistreally xena? you posted a bunch of pictures and facts of celebrities. this has to be some of the least reliable info/pictures you can find. not specifically saying anything is wrong, but i certainly won't give those things any...weight.
anyway, yes body shape is a big thing when it comes to sizes and weights. and i don't think bmi is a great indicator for saying who is or isn't overweight. also, big and overweight can look good, but i'm 100% with pink on this one. there is this mass denial thing going on. some of the people called healthy and average these days are clearly overweight. does that make them the least healthy person? not at all. but i have NEVER seen a size 11 who wasn't overweight.
It's easier to build a size acceptance move and continue to shove, shove shove without moving a muscle and preach to the world big is beautiful. especially by making commercials with small and big women alike uniting in their undies and bras telling everyone we are all beautiful no matter what the scale says. We are all going to have our cake and eat it too, and the rest of the world is going to play along while we all eat ourselves into oblivion.
If they are so happy with themselves why do they need everyone on their team? never understood it myself.
and yes I am
