What colors do you see in the dress >_>

Hm, what I see is blue and brown. But seeing how the background looks, those probably aren't the real colors of the dress. Dress could be white with brown or how the fuck is it called, khaki? maybe.

Why do you ask? Is this a test?

I like it because it is a great illusion. Because the brain thinks in light, it produces the sensation of colors from what it thinks the colors are. I can actually see the dress white with gold and snapping into blue and black. I see both things. They are equally real like it was two different images.

The brain does weird things. It's sort of like the Mc Gurk effect, you actually hear what you see.

Most people see white and gold because they rely on the bright background and assume the dress is in a shade. It isn't though, it is brightly lit up by a flash and made lighter than it really is. It IS blue and black for real. :)

The first thing I see is off-white and gold.

I could see how some could see mustard and bright blue.

I also see black in there. I can see grey as well.

And a light brown color.

Edit: I could also see pure white in there. 

It's like stripes within stripes, and the lighting is weird, so that's why it's so difficult.

These optimal illusions are have to do with lighting and positioning of the picture. The dress is actually white and gold you are seeing all those other colors for other reasons.

25 - 30 % see the dress as it is, black and blue.

The ones seeing "through" optical illusions are often autist. I wonder if the black/blue gang is more autistic than the gold/white.

The collar part is the gold part and the sleeve thingies are white. The lacey stripes are also gold with white between.
