There is an interesting anti-viral out there, which seems to be extremely commonplace. Methelyene Blue. It is the stuff they use to keep fungus from forming in fish tanks. Apparently during WWII it was used as an anti-malarial, but it was obviously used by troops who were a little more hardened than others. Not something that is entirely safe, but something that is readily available at least.
I think I remember reading that it was being tested for use with HIV patients as well.

Something about ultra violet light therapy alongside ingestion of the synthetic methelyene blue. It is too technical for me to fully understand.
