I hope your not basing that off the last two pages. I've smoke the most weed i haver have before today lol.
So I was able to talk to my friends girlfriend who is a major in psychology. After that and everything else I think it's safe to say I have a form of undiagnosed Bipolar. It's personally not something I want to believe but it's not something too terrible either. I'm currently deciding if I want to get treatment or not but I will definitely be seeing a psychiatrist just to get a conformation.
But my real focus was on the link between bipolar and other things. Like Bipolar people and intelligence. Are Bipolar people intellectually affected negatively due to not being able concentrate on things or is it more of an individual thing. Also are bipolar people more emotionally intelligent (not sure if that's a thing) or do they just experience intense emotion?
No... I am trying to find the key pieces of info.
Looks like infants fed it all the time, and are deprived at the same time of usual fatty acid sources, suffered deficiencies.
I'll guess you are getting an energy boost for more reasons than only the colorful packaging and smiling faces on the labels.
You are probably hypertensive, right? I mean that is one of your characteristics when manic?
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11593093
Weight loss (10%) in obese hypertensive subjects resulted in substantial improvements in BP, Si and lipid profile. There was no additional effect on the reduction in BP by the type of FA consumed in the diet. Following weight loss, there was a trend for omega-3 FAs to have a protective effect on fat-free mass loss (compared to omega-6 FA Group and saturated FA Group) and a trend to further enhance Si. There were significant improvements in circulating lipid profiles independent of the dietary FA intervention following the weight loss. The improvements in BP and body composition were maintained during the weight-loss maintenance period. The type of fat consumed had minor differential effects on some of the measured metabolic outcomes.
Omega 3 is a fatty acid, right? I'm sure at least some of the fatty acids in the coconut are compatible with you.
These guys claim a link between hypertension and bipolar, but it's 50% or something. What does that leave the other 50%? Normal?
EAST LANSING, Mich. — Nearly half of patients hospitalized with bipolar disorder may suffer from hypertension, and the younger a person is diagnosed with the psychiatric condition the more likely they are to develop high blood pressure, according to a recent Michigan State University study.
I'm going to suggest to you that when you get a boost of energy from the coconut water, you are either lacking fatty acids and your body is stuck in that gear, and the boost of energy is due to feeding that specific gear the right type of nitrous (right??) or it has more to do with having no energy. There are close to no calories or artificial sugars in coconut water?
I mean you wouldn't call a sugar rush a boost of energy, right?
Yeah that stuff in the tetra packs is so damn expensive, I hold out for sales at the dollar store and say fuck it to any tin or aluminum poisoning issues that could pop up.
But yeah, the coconut water is great. I don't know enough about essential fatty acids.
However, I'll guess the words mean something, and it has less to do with fat that is acidic, and more to do with acids that break down fat and prep it for energy consumption.
I am not a bio chemist.
Yeah vikings seem like they might have been extremely aggressive all the time leading to weird health issues.
I don't know exactly, but turn of the 19th century history sort of paints a world without modern medicine, and people dropping like flies over fevers, rickets, or small pox and so on. I'd imagine that people aged like dogs back then. They'd get rather mangy, pretty fast.
I really don't know what type of witchcraft or medical magic was around back then, but I'm sure they had a pretty descent tool box. I don't know exactly.
Anyways, interesting stuff on essential fatty acids. (the last thing of coconut water I bought advertised the essential fatty acid aspect, so, I dunno exactly.)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essential_fatty_acid
Between 1930 and 1950, arachidonic acid and linolenic acid were termed 'essential' because each was more or less able to meet the growth requirements of rats given fat-free diets. However, they were yet to be recognized as essential nutrients for humans. In the 1950s Arild Hansen showed that infants fed skimmed milk developed essential fatty acid deficiency. It was characterized by an increased food intake, poor growth, and a scaly dermatitis, and was cured by the administration of corn oil.
Later work by Hansen randomized 426 children, mainly black, to four treatments: modified cow's milk formula, skimmed milk formula, skimmed milk formula with coconut oil, or cow's milk formula with corn oil. The infants who received the skimmed milk formula or the formula with coconut oil developed essential fatty acid deficiency signs and symptoms. This could be cured by administration of ethyl linoleate (the ethyl ester of linoleic acid) with about 1% of the energy intake.[8]
Well, this part right here is definitely reassuring information: "The general public view of maniacs is that they need to be restrained or subdued, so that's what a large deal of the meds are all about, so don't think they are all designed to put you into a coma, to shave off that mania edge and drop you into a pit of dispair, but yeah, start asking questions, if you are going to take the meds, such as, when can I expect a full recovery? What is wrong with me physically? How do I help speed my recovery. What exactly are these drugs going to do, and so on." Something I'll be sure to take into consideration.
Also you mentioned stuff about food playing a role in moods. Whenever I drink this drink I get a nice boost of energy: http://zico.com I like the chocolate flavor lol. Yeah vikings seem like they might have been extremely aggressive all the time leading to weird health issues. I'm just assuming that of course.
