Btw, Sometimes when my mind is overloaded with irrelevant crap and I need to stay on task, I'll repeat a keyword or 2 so I won't forget that the point of my trip to WalMart is to buy a new can opener, not cookies. Not a new clock. Not a new blouse. Can opener can opener can opener.
Your son's babbling may be a similar strategy. Or he might just be enjoying the weirdness of the things his mouth can do. :D

There are no delusions in the ADHD vid. It's just music and memory and clutter, like a radio that's just out of range of several different stations. None of the babble tracks tell me to starve myself bc the pizza delivery guy is trying to poison me or anything that would compel me to harm myself or somebody else.
This vid does use a bit more talk noise than what's in my head, I guess. It's also more difficult to decipher on the vid bc it's somebody else's talk noise. I'm familiar with my own talkbabble, so I can pick through it, reject some, pay attention to the more important bits, or surf on the stuff that's funny or poetic.
Psychotic people have more trouble differentiating between a memory from some movie and a voice whose directives ought to be listened to and acted on.
