That's what psychology ought to be about, but some make it about sticking people into pre-labeled boxes when they believe themselves to have found the answer already. That's not the science's fault, that's the fault of those who practice it in that fashion. To some, it defines what they've seen already, or gives context to new experiences, while others use it as a guide to what there is to see, as a substitute to actual delving. Most of what makes psychology look bad is thanks to the people who practice it, but behind that is a lot of interesting data.I've looked at all of them, but I take each of them with a grain of salt.
I agree, but how psychology is now, the boxing thing will remain. There's no problem with the psychology itself, but how people use it, but to make it so these people don't misuse it, it must be changed, if that makes sense.
