The Interview

"N Korea - in terms of numbers- has one of the biggest militaries in the world. "

They have a standard enlistment after high school of 2 years. Their standing, actual military is a fraction of the number they put up. North Korea isn't a threat.

"their capabilities may be lacking but i'm sure they could reach S Korea,"

The US & South Korea have been preparing that line for over 30 years, it wont be broken. South Korea's military is smaller but far more elite(considering they are trained by us). If America was to step aside and watch the two go to war, South Korea would still probably win.

"always serious unless i state otherwise."

North Korea and serious shouldn't be used in the same sentence. Do you realize how many times they've threatened to go to war? It's all a ploy to get money. It's no wonder America has made two movies mocking that country. I'd say you're the only one taking North Korea seriously and it's because you're misinformed. "American Delusion" haha while I agree on the staggering amount of ethnocentrism Americans have, North Korea is still a joke.

Of course politically and economically going to war wouldn't be in our best interest. It's why the US throws money at North Korea to shut up.

Although, it'd be a wet dream to to get deployed over there. I'm willing to bet they dont stand longer than Iraq did and they were the world's 4th largest military that fell in a week.

Almost every serviceman I've met in my two years. If they dont root for some deployment, they aren't against the idea either. Mostly everyone wants to get deployed and see combat. It's what your trained to do, no different than the football team that practices for the playoffs or the actors that rehearse their lines anticipating the play. It doesn't matter where but North Korea would be ideal considering they aren't guerrillas or insurgents(yet) and their training, tactics, funding and tech are all well below satisfactory. Not to mention how much propaganda and bragging they send out about being untouchable and invulnerable that surprisingly others actually believe(you).

Seeing something build itself so high gives most people a small inclination to knock it down especially when it's already teetering on a faulty base.

your point depends entirely on what you mean by 'our military'. do you mean the lowest ranking soldiers (privates?), generals, the navy? the whole military industrial complex or the head of the armed forces(president of the united states)? or just you and your buddy mike?

Yes, and so does the US and ROK. Most people in ROK don't even want reconciliation since they are so backward and behind, think east-west Germany but x 10. No one wants to pay for poor old NK's development.

And this conversation told me a bit about you too. I guess tk wasnt entirely wrong about you.

You skimmed through my posts and saw what you wanted to read, so when I call you on your shit don't act like you being incompetent was all part of some clever ruse to understand me. Why don't you go ahead and humor me with these revelations you seem to have gotten about me from this conversation.

is this your way of admitting you were wrong when you said the US military is looking for a reason to go into N Korea and what you really meant was that the people you've spoken to feel this way?

took me a while to what? and by the way your quote 'no, i said our military' was in response to me saying 'you said they were looking for a reason to storm pyongyang', which would lead me to ask how you were able to discern who i was referring to when i said 'they'. the thing is cyst, if i was picking up on every perceived mistake you had made my posts would all need a TL;DR. furthermore, this would just give you more opportunities to dodge the question. as you can see toward the latter part of our conversation i was making my posts nice and simple for you.

bait. i think you're posts revealed quite a bit about you.
