Which one is more devastating and harmful???
Hatred of course. Hatred can make people to harm/damage person & property, whereas indifference is what it is - indifference. You won't go on a destructive rampage out of indifference.
Hatred usually makes the one hating miserable.
Their misery is their business, not mine - but if they slash my car's tyres in a fit of hatred, that indeed becomes my business.
But how / in what way can indifference be harmful or devastating? Indifference is a state of mind, not an active emotion.
I understand that some people with certain disorders feel more devastated by indifference than by hatred (for them, hatred is still a form of attention), but the glitch (faulty thought process) is in their heads.

Hatred, because it causes more problems than indifference does.
You can't hate something you don't care about.
That's the beauty of indifference. Indifference means not caring at all.
There are far too many people who care about too many trivial things in my opinion.
