Narcissists and Fragile Egos

It is very often overlooked in todays world that NPD's cause the most disorder in society. We all know them. They are the ones who kiss ass to you as if they are looking up to their father for recognition regarding who they are, even though their father hated their guts and probably whipped them a couple good times.

So what can society do with these people before they go on murder sprees in retribution for things they can blame nobody except themselves for?

Easy ways to spot an NPD. They are spiteful, vengeful, over dramatic, and they usually skulk. A great recent example is Rodger Elliot. You can even see the hump in his back where he stands.

"It is very often overlooked in todays world that NPD's cause the most disorder in society."

Depends where you look.

Edit: Oh look, Jim's been there.

Typical, so it's a group narc pity party, and they can't blame anyone except their parents.

There must be drugs for these people.

I'm not saying these are ALL narcs, but yeah, ALOT of these people are narcs.

Shallow and fragile egos. Egos that are larger and more important than the life of another human being.

@turncoat - No... Jim is not a Narc.

Jim! You're not a Narc are you? You don't seem like one to me.

We've all seen the bitch fight, right?

Well, they have egos, and sometimes it's territorial, and that's besides the point.

Narcs have such shallow and fragile egos they wouldn't fight until murder drove them to breaking the law. They are petty and juvenile and extremely fragile, living a world of near constant pain and suffering. They simply cannot love themselves, and they blame everyone else for their own hate attitude.

There must be drugs for them. Even if the governments dope them up with low constant doses of MDMA or something.

I've met two hardcore narcs in my life

Something like this??? the malignant narcissistic dimension in the antisocial personality

I don't know if you'll be able to read the file there. If that's not possible, google it and you'll find it. It's actually quite interesting, but I haven't had the opportunity to finish this article.

I was just noting that he'd been posting there, not suggesting anything.

As for "fixing" them, I'm not really sure that I want the problem to be fixed. Without them there'd be less drama. The subreddit has lines that, while meant to be helpful, are often laughable instead, and the stories seem so over the top at points.

Huh, they have a word cloud for their subreddit. I wonder what this forum's one would look like:

Hmmmnnn... maybe he is a narc. Well to be honest turncoat. Since I arrived at this forum, I've noticed a couple passive aggressive strategies aimed at me. All I can suggest is that there is a narc or two hanging around here.

Not your average narcissist, but rather one that is in a lot of pain. It's mildly irritating to me, and I can go invisible at any point in time, but really, it's not that irritating, and they seem to think they have the power to do me genuine harm.

I've met two hardcore narcs in my life. Both of them did whatever they could to hurt me. They go above and beyond and neither of them were in the end able to come out on top. They are sort of spastic kamikaze type people. You know the types. The ones where wives need restraining orders, and everyone on the city block knows about them sort of thing. In a pitiful way, rather than a notorious way that they project to others as who they supposedly genuinely are.

So in other words, society does these people the most harm by giving them pity and re-enforcing the delusions and self hate they feel towards themselves. I don't know, I am not a psychologist, what do you think?

I mean the answer to fix ASPD's are easy. Allow them creative outlets and give them some breadth from institutional structures. Let them fall.

With NPD's it's something else entirely as they are constantly in "me", "me", "me", mode...

"Narcissists are something else entirely. They are driven by narcissistic vengeance. NPD. Everything the NPD does is to re-claim his ego from the "batman"."

Is that how you see The Joker?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malignancy

Malignancy (from Latin male, meaning "badly", and -gnus, meaning "born") is the tendency of a medical condition to become progressively worse.

That's why I say, I've met two hardcore NPDs in my life. One that took several police departments and a peace bond to get him away from his ex-wife. And another who was just absolutely insane.

They get worse and worse, they never let up.

I know there is an NPD in this forum because I know the behavior and it's mildly irritating.

They are not ASPDs. They are NPDs to the core.

Who are "they", and what do "they" know, anyway?

MrO,  90% of "narcissists" are just old wives' tale / urban myth,  created by codependent / borderline types. Also by those eternally frustrated bitter "victim of the world" types who blame everyone/everything except themselves for being a failure.

"Narcissism" is a good seller in the psychobabble section of self-help books,  but outside of that it hardly exists as a diagnosable mental condition.
