A supposed test of your subconscious

by poison

1. I go right, into the woods.

2. I come across a brown bear, it's nothing special. I can't tell what it is
doing until I get closer, I see it is probably a very young bear as I
see it eating berries from a bush, as you expect any bear would.

3. I see a handgun, because I know nothing of handguns all I can say is that it is small, heavy metal, loaded, and black.

4. I pick it up, are you fucking kidding me?

5. A massive, clear lake, teeming with food. It is round in shape, but not perfectly of course.

6. Someone I feel is dear to me, valuable treasure, and a bar.

EDIT: That was much more accurate than I expected!

 1. adventurer maybe

2. "eating berries from a bush, as you expect any bear would." - sounds like people you meet seem predictable to you. To you they have simple motivations that make them do expected stuff.

3. hmm, sounds like the usual average cliche gun. You are a bit unimaginative but practical. Seems like you choose the middle ground in dealing with people, not too threatening, but straightforward and efficient.

4. yeah, who the hell leaves a gun just laying there in the middle of a forest...

5. Food? You mean fish? What? Were you hungry when you typed that... My 2 cents: you think you have the journey to reach your goals pretty much secured.

6. Bar and someone dear? You're thirsty too. Maybe crave sex also. :D

Ok, so you mentioned food, drink and company... My guess is that you're happy with pretty much the simple basic stuff in life. Nothing too fancy or extravagant in your entire post.

1. Preference for familiarity over new horizons. (?) Doesn't really make sense since you've said you have a knack for exploring. Unless you have grown too accustomed to exploring, so it no longer seems like something new. The second post is kinda weird. You prefer predictable.

2. You have trust issues and are confrontational. You can't go around in life thinking people are savages who'll slash the back of your neck the second you turn around. Unless you mean wild in the sense that they are not tame; they can't be played like chess pieces. In that case, you would have some powertripping issues as well. Paranoid.

3. Already thinking about overpowering the bear. A rifle made especially for hunting bears, apparently. That says you shoot to kill or dominate in your interactions with these 'wild' bears you encounter. You don't soften the hit, you strike to kill. Yes, I am going against what the second post says. You are defensive.

4. Picking up the firearm could mean you are dead serious in making your point. You will kill the bear without a second thought. You say you will only use it when necessary, but you also claim wild animals aren't in your comfort zone. A clash is inevitable, you predict you will use your gun every time you feel threatened. That makes you defensive, reactive and suspicious of others.

5. I think this lake thing is bullshit, but still, I make that you are confident in the way you handle your path. You obviously know this lake, therefore, you know how to get about it. The fact that it is cold may tell me that you see it as a challenge although I don't really know if you like cold water or not. The sunset suggests that you are running out of time for something (if you are diurnal) or maybe something new is starting for you (if nocturnal). Nice colors may incite you to keep moving forward because it is worthwhile the hustle.

6. Again, this is really subjective. Maybe you grew up looking at these kind of mountains. I don't know what you nordic people see, but if it is true, then you might see what you expect as something under your control and familiarity. If not, it could mean you are expecting a challenge that will keep you on your toes. Maybe you find it a beautiful and comforting place, I don't know.

1. The lack of detail of the valley could indicate you either don't care where it is you go or what you do, you prefer a familiar approach, you are secretive or you are lazy to answer. :D Choosing familiarity for me isn't being afraid, it's a methodical and systematical preference over unpredictability.

2. I think you generally feel like a spectator when you meet people. Like you are there, but not really. The big black bear may tell me that these encounters are a challenge, or that the people seem like opponents rather than amicable. The fact that the bear is busy doing something else could suggest you hope not to raise attention from them so you won't have to deal with it. The dead deer reinforces that you may take the bear as someone you don't want to mess with, or that you don't participate in interactions.

3. Big gun. You have the need to overpower the bear if it ever sees and approaches you. Aggressive in the encounters, maybe flashy, quick and scattered. You are sure to hit the blank with a weapon this big. People cannot miss a weapon this big, so you put it all out for them not to mess with you. You don't want the bears to survive, you want them annihilated. You may want your point to be the last one.

4. Picking it up reinforces that you will strike if provoked. Throw all out in hopes to hit the target to death. You mean business. That makes you defensive. Again, lack of details in this answer makes it too vague.

5. An ocean. Impossible to cross without a lot of effort. You need a lot of will and endurance to cross the vast ocean, never thinking about the countless obstacles in it. It may tell that you feel you need a crew to help you get across it (a boat, a plane, a cruise, etc) seeing as doing it alone would take a long time and could probably cause your demise.

6. You can't see what lies ahead. Your path isn't clear. The ocean separates you from your goal. You know there is something on the other side because it is common sense, but you don't know what it is because you don't know where you're going. I think that's why you think of an ocean, it is because crossing it without direction isn't worthwhile.

1. Everybody loves the woods, it seems, lol. Trees, Forest, a maze of green. There is often a road in it. Repetitive trees, you can get lost in it.

2. Almost same height, could say you are not afraid of these bears. You see them sort of as equals. They extend you their paws, they invite you to interact with them. I think that means you are generally comfortable in social settings or that you know what to do in them. But I'm just guessing. Sun bears look too goofy to be taken seriously.

3. A sawed-off shotgun seems like a difficult weapon to use. Its shot is spread and could backfire if sawed wrong. I think this means you have an explosive interaction with these bears at times, when agitated maybe (sawed wrong) or that you are sort of scattered and you need to be risky in order to make a clean shot. A face-to-face could mean you don't get swayed the wrong way too easily, or it could also mean you get things wrong too often until you get to meet these bears up close. (?)

4. There is indeed a bear. You go with what you say. But I assume you will only shoot if they get too close

5. A perfect lake. You know how it's formed, you know its characteristics and what direction the wind is going. You may be confident in how to go about this lake. The oval shape tells me you know a shortcut to the other side, depending where you're standing.

6. Good ending. You expect a harmonic place to go to after the obstacle.

1. Yeah I thought it would be more exciting and somewhat easier to make myself scarce if I needed to, as for the bear yes yes yes.

3. I really know nothing about guns, if I was more knowledgeable I probably would have chosen something less obvious but, yes I think you are right based on this with both of your points.

4. That's what I'm fuckin' saying, dude.

5. Haha yes I meant fish. This one I had a hard time understanding myself, so I'll just leave it with you.

6. No comment.

I'm not saying you're totally 100% accurate, but if you said this about me I would not be able to deny any of it.

A supposed test of your subconscious

by TheSocio

Personally, I find most of the tests out there on this subject to be horse shit. The most legit test of your subconscious personality I've done is here, and even state they can't speak for the validity of the tests. I figured I'd post the following one for fun to see what you guys come up with.

Post your answers before scrolling down to the following post.

Try and answer with the first picture that comes in your head when you read the "describe" questions.

1. One day you decide to go for a hike in the country. After walking for a while, you come to a fork in the road, which way do you decide to go?
- If you go right, you will be led to a wooded valley.
- If you go left, you will be led to a wide open plain.

2. Farther down the path you chose, you suddenly came across a bear, describe what kind of bear it is and what it is doing as you approach it.

3. As you look around, you discover that there is a gun on the ground nearby, what type of gun is it?

4. Do you decide to pick up the gun or leave it on the ground?

5. After making you decision, you continue down the path and arrive at a body of water, describe it in detail (size, shape, color, activity, etc.)

6. Finally, as you stand there looking across the body of water, what lies on the other side of it?

open field.

black bear, it's elbow deep in a bee's hive eating honey with sweet abandon.

rifle, wooden handle. dirty, been there a while.

pick it up.

large, but the other side is visible. on the other side there are rocks, then boulders, then a mountain. there are wild flowers around the sides that end in long grass that sways in the breeze. it's cooler right here, near the lake (the rocks hold the mountains coolness). the water has lots of trunks in it with turtles sitting on them. little tadpoles can be seen swimming at the edge. it's shallow all the way through. it wants to be a deep dark blue, but it's shallowness along with the light rocks underneath make it clear and light. interesting to look into.

mountains. snow tipped. refreshing, impressive.
