..what did you do...as it was clinical depression...to tide you over the hump..so to speak...as often or not depression does lead to suicide apparently..
I don't know... he was on medications, a bit of a boozer, supporting a family, and in significant amount of debt.
Difficult to pin it on any single thing.
What was interesting is how he did it. He did wander off, and he tried hanging himself, and when that failed, while hanging he managed to slice his wrists. Really a sad situation for someone who could imagine the pain, anguish and suffering he must have been going through.
I am sure there was crying from the start to the finish... only guessing...
Maybe crying is the immunes systems way of attempting to clear bacteria infection from the brain?
Strange because normally I am good judge of character, and I thought for sure the guy was among the happiest, and most caring of anyone in the family. Few exceptions.
Some people say suicide happens out of nowhere and is more like an impulse, and it shock the immediate family, but even I suspect that it was not something that was planned and more of a knee jerk instinct reaction.
Bacteria? Are you saying suicide is from an infection? I read somewhere scientists found a suicide gene.
Not sure if all animals run away when they feel they're dying. Dogs sometimes do though, seen it. Maybe they just feel weak and don't want to be attacked? As far as the bacteria theory goes, them going away is beneficial as the community doesn't have to deal with the rotten body among them. Same reason some animals bury their shit I suppose.
Come to think about it, that's a smart thing for nature to put into their instinct.
by MrDeltaSo... It baffles my mind as to why there are higher rates of suicide in some professions over others. The recent suicide of Robin Willams and Micheal Jackson are also suspect with me, along with my own brothers suicide not so long ago.
Why did your brother kill himself? If there is a suicide gene, maybe you have it then.
I bet numerous medical reasons exist for suicides. I know many people suffer from undiagnosed autoimmube conditions, such as food allergies and thyroid malfunction. These two things specifically cause inattentiveness, mood instability, anxiety, and depression (often attributed to inflammation) in many cases and often cause mental health misdiagnoses until more obvious physical symptoms emerge. Even then, doctors often treat the wide range of symptoms as separate conditions.
