An earnest question

Yes, but if it's a repeat of a post she made a few years ago (as many of her posts are these days) then it hardly represents a 'change in the tone of her advocacy' as you are suggesting.

Right,  but others have noted that she does seem to be tending toward advocating for restraint and normalcy now.  Its clear from her talk radio,  since the fallout from her being "outed".

An earnest question

This is NOT a post "bashing the author"  or trying in any way to deride sociopaths.  I actually am asking this question in earnest ,  for anyone who might want to answer.

I have noticed that Lund on her blog has begun to change the tone of her advocacy:  She is leaning more toward stressing the similarities between sociopaths and "normal"  people,  rather than the differences,  and she is emphasizing ways to enforce, or keep in check,  the behaviors of the sociopath:  She speaks of the usefulness "a knowledgeable third party...  someone other than the cops."

Question:  Do sociopaths on this forum like this line of thinking,  or not?  Really just curious.

*An additonal question I have is about something I heard Lund say on talk radio today:  That she wants to be "more open,  authentic, and honest."  This puzzles me,  as one of the hallmarks of the sociopath is to be very cunning,  stealthy and devious.

Every person is different, even every sociopath.  It is hard enough to discern the motivation of "normal" people, so now we get the delightful paradox of trusting lying, conceited anti-social (even if they admit it) people to honor their side of the bargain?  My suspicion is that Lund is trying to set up her own advocacy as a liferaft after the fallout of any exposure is made and consequences have her in need of a new job.  She may more ably succeed after such an exposure, since she can play on the sympathy of one side (empaths) and the other side undoubtedly could use the opportunity to arbitrate suspicions of their behavior.  Are they ever going to find a perfect "middle man" for this to work?  Traits of either side immediately bias the advocate, doesn't it.  We would need a lot more clarity of this idea to get anyone on board.

Oh, right. Why are you interested in her?

Oh, and if they suggest an ambassador of one side to arbitrate on behalf of the other (empath for socios, or socio for empaths), could you imagine ideas like diplomatic immunity along with it?

If you look at the date of the comments, I think you'll find that blog post was first written in 2010.

Ummm.  Because this is her blog?  The author's blog?  I post on a lot of authors' blogs,  and this is the only one where noone has read her book (or rather,  only a few)  and no one is interested in the forum master.
