One of my favorite things to do is to walk down the middle of the street at night, cars hardly come anyways.
around 4.30am is the best time. I sometimes have to leave for work then, I complain about it but secretly love it. The atmosphere, the lights, the weirdos... I wish that I didn't have to be on my guard so I could just enjoy it, but I guess that adds to the experience.
i hate foxes though. They can go fuck themselves. They just don't have enough respect for humans considering we're at least 5 times their size.
I used to enjoy doing this also. The place where I lived was a somewhat upper-middle-class suburb, situated right next to a lake. During the day, it was full of cars and people, but it was incredible how totally deserted it was at night. I could walk the streets for hours and never see anyone. Or, sometimes I would take a kayak and paddle around the lake and canals. There was a forested island in the middle of a lake where I would have a fire and just sit and look at the stars in the thirty degree cold. The place had a surprising hidden beauty, for all that it was a boring little suburb of a boring little city. Now, I do not go on night walks, the place where I live now is a sketchy run-down kind of suburb, and there is not really much beautiful about it. Besides, it is not as easy for me to sneak out as it was then. :P
