Ask yourself this... After I finish college, will I be able to convince a company that I will make them money if they hire me? If the answer is yes, go for it. If the answer is... unrealistic.. you have a problem. In my mind, when I place myself in your shoes, I feel like the answer is "unrealistic".
Unless you moved to China. If you get a Bachelors degree in English, the Chinese will worship you, and you will have a teaching job for life.
Being able to carry yourself linguistically gives you a certain amount of class too, which is not to be undervalued in my opinion.
I know people that jump between majors (what would be majors for you), and even completely switch schools and start over. It's a longer route but they end up with a much broader knowledge base and that's a big plus when looking for a job.
There is no common sense in Law. Law itself is flawed and can be interpreted differently.
There are many factors and you need to know them all and you need to know how to manipulate the jury.
You do not go in court to make justice. You go there to win.

Why would you go to collage to get something with which you can make money? Become an escort much easier and you make a lot of money(trust me, you do). There now you have a lot of $$.
You go to collage to learn about something you want to learn. Because it interests you. How you are going to make money is a different subject. Maybe you can use what you have learned, maybe not.

English is important from what i've been hearing. I do not know why, since i have no much interest in it, but many people here give big respect to the English major. I guess its because it gives a lot of opportunities to non-English native speakers.

Sneaky, cold, calculating, cutthroat. You hire a lawyer because they are efficient in bullshit. The field is terribly flooded with narcs that will defend an axe murderer for a payday. I understand that quite well as I have very little morality when it comes to getting paid. I'd defend Ted Bundy for Christ sake (if he would let me lol - i think he liked being his own lawyer). Just gotta make sure my hair ain't parted in the middle.
Hiring a lawyer can one of two scenarios. Like someone to do your yard work (you could do that yourself) or someone to perform brain surgery on you. (I'm not sure you could without extensive training)
You mow your own lawn when it's not worth it to hire someone and you hire the surgeon when there's a hella of a lot a money at stake. and another sneaky, cold, calculating, money hungry son-of-a-bitch ready to throw some BS grandfather clause written in the fine print at you.
I don't understand why people devalue English majors. It is a terribly boring field of study. Personally I have a degree in French (totally useless, I don't understand why people get language degrees in their non-native languages. I only did it because of the low credit load)
But everyone can do some basic math (I hope) but people go to school to master math. Most of the population is literate (don't argue with me ppl it's a stat believe it or not!!) but people to to school to master English.
I hear English is good for law school and someone once told me English majors rape the LSATs because of the way it's designed. I don't have a clue how true that is - never taken a look at the LSATs myself.
You just need to go to graduate school to get a job in English - doesn't make it useless at all. People that devalue any degree that isn't STEM make me laugh. Yeah mutha fucka do you realize Asia will have your future job in 10 years or less?! Keep on thinking your degree is great.
