I agree with most of what you are saying but i find that for me personally, an act that others would consider to be impulsive is an act that I have decided to commit from careful deliberation. this deliberation may take seconds but it is there none the less. i will not argue that these actions are always the best thought out in and of themselves but the consequences and probable outcomes have been considered. I then accept those out comes and act. what you are saying does have more validity than some of the nonsense i have witnessed in some conversations
As far as I understand my own fallacy, the gist of it is that I'm bold, shameless and have a mean streak.
By bold I mean I'm willing to confront anyone at anytime.
By shameless I mean that I don't care if I'm wrong.
By having a mean streak I mean having a deviously mischievous sense of humor.
On the other hand, I'm also bold because I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong.
I'm also shameless, because when I'm wrong I'll go out of my way to understand what is the wrong.
I'm also mean, because when I'm wrong I have a good time making sure that I'm wrong for the right reasons (translation - any reason is the right reason as long as it's mine).
