Could you gaslight a psychopath?

Actually gaslighting someone is when you lie to them or do things so that they think they're remembering things wrong or to confuse them.

I have no idea from where I came up with that.

" want to learn how to be a megalomaniac ASPD skills user to fuck people over to get to the top?"

I don't know about Piles the Beaver, but from what I can see it seems that you want to learn Sociopath-shortcuts. Then you plan to take your Mindfucking For Dummies notes and use them to get petty revenge against someone, and make it more personal by "beating" him at his own game.

The thing to understand is that by giving enough of a shit to learn about him, research his disorder, try and immitate it-  you've already lost. Badly. ...Spectacularly.

To be honest, I am getting a bit of vicarious joy from the guy just by reading your post, and if I were this man I would be positively squirming with the giggles over it.  =T  It always makes a man feel special to have someone thinking about him so much, learning about him, doing things just for him- I mean gosh-darn, you could make a guy blush.

this is not always the case. however if that is the extent of your 'revenge', then it's possible you may have lost. spectacularly.

With enough ego petting and attention, you can make a sociopath believe anything. He would do anything so you don't quit feeding him.

the paranoia is most definitely exploitable.

Would this still be true if the paranoid person being gaslighted distrusts the one doing it? Or would the paranoia then become a defense?

Okay fine! I admit it: I have no idea what "gaslight" means in this context. Would someone care to educate me?

I think what gaslight means is when someone tells someone else false information and makes it very convincing as if it is true so that even when the someone else remembers the situation clearly, he or she starts to doubt his or her memory and believes the liar. For example, a person borrows a dollar from someone else and promises to return it in a week. One week later, the creditor demands the dollar back, but the debtor denies borrowing the dollar and makes himself look as if he never borrowed the dollar, to try to convince the creditor to question his own memory, and so that the debtor himself doesn't have to return the dollar.

EDIT: I don't see why someone can't gaslight a psychopath
