Multiple Intelligences

Do you believe in the theory of multiple intelligences? Would you agree that Sociopaths tend to exhibit high levels of linguistic, intrapersonal and logical intelligence?

Do you consider those who are artistic or sensitive to be unintelligent?

Or is someone's intelligence defined by their 'success' in achieving things of value like money, status, power?

sensitive people are unintelligent because their emotions get the better of them and they end up making stupid decisions because they "felt it was the right thing to do" they throw away any source of logic in their little minds and get stupid really fast. I find that females are the worst of the bunch because they get the most emotional.

What about intuition? 'knowing' something because of a gut feeling. Some highly emotional people say they can feel what someone else is feeling...being able to read people and situations pretty accurately. Is it because there is no proof or reason behind this knowing, that it is dismissed as false or projecting?

I can't see the real purpose to that, I think it's a load of shit- body language is more reliable. Reading emotions by using yours makes you easy to fool.

emotions are important. lack of emotions is an impairment that you need to work around.

sure there are benefits of lacking emotion and there are negatives about having emotions

but emotions are there for a reason, they are signals about your state of being.

and affectionate empathy seems to give many people meaning in life and it makes the world not crumble into chaos

lacking those brings boredom, which could bring many other problems, mostly self destructive stuff

lacking all emotions will make you a lifeless robot who has no reason to do anything

lacking only some emotions destroys the system of emotions a human has, which are there for self defense, as long as they are used properly

having emotions and being able to understand them, will bring you balance, stability and joy

Best would be to use intuition as simply another tool, and still retain your strategic logical thinking. Emotional people have a tendency to let their emotions overrule their rational thinking.

I believe there is more than one kind of intelligence, certainly, but it's a bit of a sweeping generalisation to say that all sociopaths would score highly on the same kinds. Do you think there are no sociopathic artists, for example? Sharing personality traits doesn't necessarily mean having the same level or type of intelligence.

The kind of people who allow emotions to cloud their judgement actually don't have very high emotional intelligence, and sometimes when people talk about intuition or 'gut instinct' what they've really subconsciously picked up on is the same microexpressions that some people make a habit of studying.

a gut feeling has many many factors, that are mostly subconscious, i doubt its just the expressions

Yeah for sure. I think more perspective and emotional types can begin to subcontiously recognize microexpressions, resulting in a feeling that something is off. But for me that translates as a dubious 'huh...really?' Where as intuition is more of an alert signal. Like a tingling sensation in the stomach that is easy to notice and easier to brush off.
