Pessimism Vs. Optomism

Hi everyone!

I would like to write a topic about negativity! I think it's so bad for the world. Specially when it comes to negativity about our neighbors and fellow Human Beings.

I believe we live in a political and economic system that forces people against each other. This isn't entirely the system's fault. We as humans have only had a short time to find an economic and political model that follows the true values of humanity.

I don't think, though, that this competitive political and economic system serves well as evidence that humanity is inherently evil or mean. I think it simply shows our will to survive, and provide for our families above all else.

I do think, though, that those who consider this competition, and human aggression as evidence of our true nature risks the mistake of projecting pessimistic assumptions onto reality which of course doesn't change anything, but it does seem to propagate this idea that those who are optomists might be considered naive or unaware of the true nature of the world.

I would argue that true human nature shows so much potential. We aren't going to kill ourselves. With web-technology, humanity is uniting like never before. Global issues are broadcasted around the world, and billions of people are aware of, and taking stances on issues that, a couple decades ago, would have been as far removed from us as the moon.

With the power of human innovation, web-technology is making it even easier for the mind's of humanity to unite instantly and anonymously through the internet, and share our views with the world, and propagate peace, love, harmony, happiness, family, and all other virtues that make life, and humanity so great.

I think a current small problem society faces today is a lack of confidence. Negativity. The economy, when it comes down to it, is fed by human innovation. New ideas. These ideas, though, are being choked off by negativity. So few people believe in themselves these days, and those that do are considered naive and unrealistic.

I hope that as our generation progresses through our lives, you can keep in mind this post, and be aware of how negative and pessimistic so many people are, and don't allow it to have a negative effect on your own outlook. We can change the world, and we as human beings have so much potential if we go for it. So please follow your dreams, and never give up. Don't settle for the easiest solution. Find your passion, and become the best in the world at what you do!

Long Live Luna!

I don't equal being negative with pessimism. I'm a negative optimist.

As we economists say, it's self interest, not selfishness!  Innovation comes about because we know what we need as individuals.  Money, innovation, etc drives innovation, which creates a better society.  There is no reason to be pessimistic about self interest.

So if some charming guy decides to mug teenage girls and take them for every cent they have after he's bashed their brains in, this would just be surviving and taking care of their families, and wouldnt be in the slightest way "mean"...or "negative"?? ...and wouldnt be the slightest bit inherently eviL?.

Please give us YOUR definition nof evil luna ..Im rather curious.

I'm a proud OPTOmist who dwells is his mist.

How dare you insult the proud people of OPTOmislandia?

I forgive you though.

Ignorance is bliss and therefore an intellectual opiate to every well adjusted individual.

I have no choice, but to accept that fact.

What can one OPTOmist do when faced with the constant waves of both anguish and marasmic surrender to reality, flowing from the moral wasteland?

Best regards,
