by MESSIAHI would think a group of cunning, intelligent psychopaths would have their curiosities more readily peaked by something like this.
Right, because every psychopath can't wait to be your personal lab rat...
by MESSIAHHence the need for the phone and video interviews. Not every participant will be interviewed in person. Also I think you lack a fundamental understanding of the way research is funded. I do not intended to use any of my own money at all. This is what research grants are for.
I'm fully aware how research grants work. I know you would not be using your own money and I never indicated you would.
My point was, unless you have some proof that your participants are genuine, you could be wasting grant money by flying to those you plan to interview, or flying them to you if they turn out to be fake. That's money that could be better spent elsewhere in your research.
I'm very curious how you plan to determine who is real and who is not. I'm even more curious to know why you indicated an interest in interviewing me when most people here think I'm full of shit and delusional. It makes me wonder what your true motive is, because I can't be certain that you don't think the same way they do.
The people who know me in real life will tell you themselves that I'm not delusional, but I don't imagine that, if your motives are sincere, you'll be interviewing family members, as most sociopaths and psychopaths don't reveal their true selves to their family members anyway and don't want themselves revealed to them.
Also, won't you be requiring some personal details of the people you interview?
Is it possible to do the interviews while maintaining some anonymity?
by MESSIAHI consider myself as a man of science and base all of my research on things that can be measured, tested, and easily repeated.
So if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck it is a duck. That statement is not conjecture and simply fact.
Those two statements completely contradict each other, and your motives. Your second statement is not conjecture; nor is it fact. It's inference, which may or may not be fact.
On a preliminary basis I would like to take part in your study, and wish for you to consider me. You may consider this my formal application. Although in regards to any interviews which may occur, I will have my own terms which must be adhered to, and will depend upon any agreement which is made between us. I also expect complete anonymity throughout the study, and for any information I share with you to not be passed on in raw form without exception, including friends, family members and to those in this forum.
If you wish to make any contact with me about this, please contact me via my e-mail - [email protected]
Many thanks

It would be impossible to determine with complete certainty through preliminary phone and video interviews if a participant were faking or not before meeting for an in person interview, yes, but I am sufficiently satisfied with the level of screening this will provide. There is a risk that some of my time and funds will be wasted in the interviewing process but I believe the risk is acceptable and more importantly unavoidable. Regarding the matter of my interesting you I do believe you to be delusional to some extent, however, many psychopaths are so this does not provide any significant insight into your legitimacy. As far as anonymity goes all participants will remain anonymous in so far as their identities will be kept out of the public publishing of my research. It would of course be impossible to conduct the interviews properly without gaining personal information from the participant. How much information you share is up to the individual, but all identifying characteristics of the participant will be removed from the published work. I have no interest in the individual, only your story.
