Ohh... eddie/etzel looks like a promising ship lol :3

by EtzelYes, I am indeed arrogant. As for me being ignorant and me getting "my ass handed": HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.
I'm not scared of debating with you, fuckface. I just don't have the patience. It became very clear to me after that post where you compare a human being with a virus that you're beyond hope, and I have much better things to do with my time than trying to teach you how to think. For the looks of it I'd have more success teaching quantum mechanics to a dog, lol.
Second, you dismissed my points because apparently I believe everyone's equal or wtf "equally related". Never said that, never thought that, it's crap.
It's IMPLIED in your posts, moron. Or did they forget to teach you the concept of implication back in retard school, retard? Here, take a look: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implication
If you say there are no different races, it's because you believe all races are "equal". You don't need to spell that out for me, I just need to use my brain to draw this LOGICAL CONSEQUENCE out of your first proposition.
"If Edvard doesn't believe in different races (and is outraged at the mere thought of this idea), it means he thinks blacks and whites are equal, or at any rate equally-related enough for us, as scientific human beings, to disregard their tiny, negligible differences" — THAT'S what any intelligent person takes from your posts after reading them. And, as I just explained in all my posts, yes, we are all homo sapiens, for fuck's sake but some of groups of us are different enough from other groups to be considered exactly the same (i.e. to be considered the same race).
You honestly don't see any difference between "no race is superior to the other" and "everyone's equal", don't you pal. Here's an idea that could change your little nerdy mentality. I judge people individually. Some men are better than others if we consider different criteria. For example, I genuinely think you're more stupid than some black people I know, and that makes them better than you at expressing their ideas. So, more powerful in many ways.
You say crap like, whites are more powerful than blacks because whites killed more blacks. You have a problem when I say that's a stupid argument, since viruses kill people and you'd never say viruses are more powerful. You mock my comparison but you compare lions and tigers to black and white people, as if people are as uniform and simple as animals.
Everything you say points to you being a socially awkward bookworm who has never actually got out there to know people and feel the pulse of life. I've been on every continent, met, befriended, hated and fucked people from all races. If you did all that, experienced what I experienced and still kept your idea that judging people by race and not by they individuality makes any sense, I'll shoot a nigger for you buddy. But you're probably not going to do that, you'll just sit there reading books of other deluded reclusive nerds like you who got lost in distorted ideas of how the world and people are, instead of actually getting to know them. But who knows, maybe one day when you're older and wiser and hopefully lost some of your social anxiety or whatever the fuck prevents you from actually familiarizing yourself with the human mind, you'll look back to these days and see yourself as the snotty little kid I perceive you as right now.
Are asian chicks tighter than black ones? Since asian guys have smaller dicks and all that... Lol ;)
eta: Forgive me for I could not help myself... (for the record I 100% agree with you.)
by bumpIsn't Eddie just adorable? :3 Let me tell you a secret... he absolutely adores the more intellectual posters of sw ;) Opportunities to discuss philosophy with his sparring buddies must be scarce, lol... he knows he's vulnerable... but he's drawn to your ideas and knowledge like a moth to a flame... which makes all this really hot! i'd love to see you guide and seduce him with your silver tongue and cunning traps, like Inquirer once did! :)
by EtzelOf course and that's why I read all the past philosophers. Why would I start everything from scratch when I have at my disposal 2500 years of philosophy? This does not contradict what I said above.
Don't be ashamed! This is a perfect reply to my post :)
you often seem to lack common sense, but i dont remember your posts enough to put a direct quote, if you want i will be on the look for the next posts you do. its just the notion i get about you from reading your posts(then forgetting the posts, not the notion)
although about 80% of the posts i read of you are posts where you are trying to taunt people that you call kids. so maybe thats where i got the notion you lack common sense. it just doesnt make sense that you will try to taunt people as if you are a kid yourself, just to prove they are children, or to have fun with them. unless you agree that you act like a child too. then it makes sense. but i think you disagree that you act like a child, i am not sure, so do you disagree ?

Right on target. There's only so much you can go by reading books. You cannot get wise by just reading. If you lack the necessary experiences you won't even be able to understand wtf you're reading. In fact, my sig in psychforums was a quote by Lichtenberg saying just that:
A book is a mirror: if an ape looks into it an apostle is hardly likely to look out. We have no words for speaking of wisdom to the stupid. He who understands the wise is wise already.
And he's not alone when saying that. Nietzsche:
For what one lacks access to from experience one will have no ear.
Past a certain point, reading books is even DETRIMENTAL to your intelligence, since you are not even thinking by yourself, but merely thinking what OTHERS have thought (i.e. you are immersed in alien thought) and if you lack the necessary experiences you are bound to misinterpret and falsify the meaning of the books, thereby rendering yourself even more stupid than you were before reading them. So philosophy is not for everyone.

Two words: critical thinking.
It's not the reading that's the problem, it's partly what you're reading and also the way that you unquestioningly accept it as fact. If you're reading Nietzsche but lack this skill then you've clearly been educated beyond your intelligence.
