It's apparently been scientifically proven that people remember other details about another person better than names. Therefore, it's not strange at all that you'd have trouble remembering them.

I personally remember faces and details well, and will sometimes recognize someone even if I only talked to them once, briefly, months ago. However, when it comes to names, unless the person or their name somehow interests me, I am capable of forgetting it within a very short amount of time. I know very well that I am not the only person who is this way, so this does support what I wrote above.

In other words, I don't think it has to do with being a sociopath, but rather just the fact that the brain associates faces and details with people better than a name.

Have trouble remembering names? No kidding. It requires effort and social skill. There are many techniques/tricks to help with this. One of these involves shifting your focus from yourself on to others. I would recommend that you work on this area if you plan to be as successful in business as you imagine yourself to be.

So Luna how does it feel that your source of pride and self esteem in life is some shit internet forum you run on a topic you know nothing about, where people come on and piss all over every retarded thing you say as you work to maintain it for them? You might own this place but you're clearly not in charge around here. When somebody takes a jab at you you should come bac twice as hard and stamp your authority all over them, but you're not smart or strong enough to do that so you have to resort to banning which just makes you look like a weak bitch. Forget about your SW reputation because it went to shit the moment you first came on the old forum and it's not important anyways. If I were you I'd just start randomly fucking with people for fun. Alter their posts and usernames just to create confusion and piss everyone off. Nothing worthwhile happens in this shithole other than when somebody's getting fucked with so you may as well get in on it and start using this place for personal entertainment.

Since you installed the feature, how does it feel to get thumbed down for virtually every comment you make?

i wish more people would use the like and dislike system.

it needs to be completely changed. instead of like or dislike, it needs to be more like what facepunch has:

So they have this list of things. Agree, disagree, funny, winner, zing, informative, etc. So you cna really describe how you feel about the post.

After you click one, it looks like this for users who bother to look:



I think a system similar to this would be great here. We could add tags such as NSFW, or Disgusting... this could also serve as a way to warn users of the content of a thread, or even auto block things marked as NSFW or disgustting in settings.

As for weather or not I care about people dislikeing my posts. Right now there are too many trolls accounts for like and dislike to mean anything. The entire system needs changing.

i'm not sure it's childish. i think it allows the community as a whole to represent how they feel about something. right now all you can do is say you like it or dislike it, but later on you will be able to say if its optomistic, helpful, etc

Or maybe add little unicorns that fart puffs of coloured stardust , and little chocolate starfish for butthurt posters?.
