Well Generally i can see, most medical practitioner have to follow protocols, and if according to the check list and markers if there are certain indications which we can diagnose we will do it. but 80% of the time its just a wild stab in the dark. Often we are pressured by the courts, justice department lawyers and investigating departments. A lot of work is cloudy. As long as the protocols says u can do it, we do it.
spot on champ. U have done ur homework well :)

Not trolling :) but when often when a student who has been in med school puts forward a thesis, this is how its done :) anyways, besides these trolling, or what u call these days, a lot of patients are misdiagnosed, for a simple reason. Each time we want to order an MRI or Scans, these "psychos" have no insurance, and cost becomes an issue, and by the time the state gives funding since they are privatizing healthcare, its too late, so eventually and sadly, textbook diagnosing comes into play. But are u in med school now ?
