I'd like my ashes to be turned into a tacky diamond.
So I could turn dead people into jewelry? I could wear dead people to fancy dinners and people could compliment me about how pretty they look? The look on someone's face when describing how it was made has serious potential.
I love it.
Edit: Suddenly I'm imagining a Sweeney Todd Jeweler.
Since the majority of the people who care about me are into cremation rather than burial, I figure after organ donation whoever my proxy post-death is should split up my ashes and give some to whoever wants some to do whatever with, and then they can do whatever with the rest.
What I REALLY want is to decorate my father's skull with his life story and put it in a vault, then do that for mine, get my kids to do it, and start a tradition of storytelling skulls. He always wanted us to eat some of his flesh and wear a piece of bone cast in silver around our necks after he passed. But legality interferes and I'll probably just do the ash thing if I have a say.
I quite fancy the thought of being an eccentric old lady who wears gaudy jewels made from the ashes of dead relatives/pets. I might even mix it up with some real skull jewellery, although that may be taking the look too far.
