A theory...

People who've had the same account for a very long time do so because they feel connections to people on here and they want to be easily recognised by other people.

These people do not have aspd and most likely found this place because they got the disorder mixed up with the disorder they actually do have. (Schizoid, bpd, whatever)

People who chop and change accounts, most likely do have aspd because they don't give a fuck about connecting with others because their sole purpose here is often to make fun of the above.

The latter are here for kicks and have great social lives, whereas the former are just internet basement dwelling loners who want online friends.

As someone who has been suffering(ha!) from sociopathy his whole life, I will say this:

I completely agree with you. It is endlessly irritating to me to see other people happy on this forum. Every time I see happiness, I just want to crush it, to tear it's little legs off and say to it, "HAhA HOW CAN YOU BE HAPPY WITHOUT ANY FUCKING LEGS ASSHOLE. AHAHHAHAHHA YOU CAN'T WALK. HA HAHHAH FUCK YOU. YOU'LL NEVER GET ANYWHERE IN LIFE WITH OUT ANY LEGS. ENJOY YOUR ETERNAL LONELINESS FAGGOT AHAHHAHA"

strokes neckbeard in seductive fashion

So... any girls here?

Sociopath, you? Lol don't make me laugh.

Sorry to burst your little delusional bubble there, but I'd say you're more histrionic than anything else.

Changing accounts and juggling multiple personas seems like a lot of effort for someone who is only here for kicks.

Effort? I suppose that's simply a matter of perspective. I mean, talking the stairs instead of using the escalator may seem a lot of effort to some but not to others.

Right, it is a matter of perspective due to the reasoning behind the multiple accounts. Some do it because they forget their password or because they just don't care while others do it to orchestrate their own drama and some do it because their own accounts were banned.

It's kind of a hassle to make a new account now if you're on Tor or have had an account banned in the past due to the admin approval, though.

I have another theory...

People who keep posting on the same account for a long time do so because they might actually have worthwhile things to say and are proud and vain enough to want to build a reputation. It's also possible that they just can't be arsed to create multiple accounts with the sole purpose of trolling an obscure, unknown forum, and have much better things to do with their time.

These people may or may not have ASPD, since intelligent behavior may or may not show in an ASPD case.

People who chop and change accounts probably have nothing better to do with their days than spending hours upon hours creating alternate accounts to troll people they are secretly resentful of. Due to them being too weak and too stupid to confront others face to face they resort to this cheap tactic where they remain anonymous and thus do not compromise themselves. In this case they have the backbone of a sea slug and are pathetic (and clearly have no social life, lol). It might also be that they are just switching around accounts and trolling others for the sole reason of being pathologically bored creatures who, despite this, can't find a better activity to entertain themselves than changing some pixels in a screen. I'd bet that if they DO have a social life, it is a terrible one. What kind of conversation would such a person hold? "Hey man, last week I spent fifty five hours sitting in front of my computer making fun of fake sociopaths, I'm so awesome lol".

But joking aside, my whole point is that ASPD and these account changing antics are not correlated. It's more a matter of intelligence and weakness, and as far as I know there can be both smart and stupid, and both strong and weak ASPD people.

Contrasting theories. Thanks for taking the time to reply =)

Quick question...

This isn't your main account, is it?

Yeah, it is. And I've gone great lengths at building a reputation by maintaining the same name and avatar since the day I started posting on mental health forums. You can check my posts on psychforums and see they stretch back to a year or so. (Currently, I kinda ran out of things to say, to be honest, but sometimes a few interesting threads show up and this leads me to posting.)
