I have a new tattoo which is the first part of a planned sleeve, it's a DNA double helix breaking apart on my inner forearm.

I would never desecrate my body in such a way. My body is a temple.

What's the thought behind that?

For your (potential) amusement, I'll try to interpret :)..

DNA instructs how to make a certain protein, genetic instruction.

You could be using this as a metaphor... That you're tearing apart the instructions of your mind/body.

Example; Tearing apart insecurities and discomforts.

It could be a tattoo expressing selfhate as well, tearing yourself apart :)...

... What's the big idea?!

I'm just really into anything psychedelic and personally I really like them both especially the second one which to me would represent my love of marijuana might sound lame but tbh I don't get tattoos because they have a meaning I get them to remember that time in my life when I got it
