Why are you in this one?
I know why all the PF people ended up here, I'm asking everyone else, what brought you to this corner of the internet?
And if any PF people have any reasons besides the obvious one you're free to answer the question as well.
Originally I came for information after an experience with a sociopathic ex boyfriend. I saw sites like Love Fraud and didn't want to be coddled and babied. Sometimes the cold, harsh truth is the only way.
I've stayed primarily for personal growth, learning more about myself in the last 6 months than I have in the last 6 years. My multiple atypical relationships suggest I am a type of person who attracts destructive individuals. By being here I hope to break a cycle that I've been in for as long as I can remember.
I googled 'ASPD forum' and found psychforums and I saw Luna's advertisement thread and the no moderation and trolling other forums thing sounded totally sweet so I came here. I'm still here because I like the way the website looks anddddd the blue emoticons and the drama. Totally unique. What a nice subculture.....
Ha. I can see where it would seem that way but you'd need to read my original post to get the full context. When I got here I had no idea what gaslighting even was. Information is power and though it may appear like I'm even further, I know that I am better prepared as a result. Even if those here aren't sociopaths and are more narcissists.
Perhaps you're right, but I have a feeling that you've just found a way to be around the people you're attracted to without being in any direct harm of them. Safety can be dangerous, a hole you fall further into until you're too far down to ever climb up again. It's just an alternative method to follow your old habits.
