 IQ testing doesn't claim to measure anything but one variety of intelligence.  Assuming that it measures every kind of intelligence there is, would mean that you believe there to be only one kind. : P

And obviously it isn't perfect, but it's decent at measuring what it was meant to.  (Excluding hokey internet IQ tests, of course.)
