Is anyone taking adderall, provigil/modafinil, or something else like them? How does it help with your focus? Are there side effects?
it totally makes you cold hearted and robotic, to put it this way, if someone died in starbucks next to you, you would continue enjoying your coffee and reading your book.
but your focus is amazing. taking those drugs is a chemical lobotomy. your nether happy or sad you just are.
I've used Adderall and Strattera.
Strat seems is much more subtle but it helps with focus to a small degree, I noticed no side effects with it.
Adderall however is like meth... literally its actually a cock-tale of amphetamine salts and as such, has the potential to be just as much potential for abuse. But it works hella-great if you use it properly.
Boundless energy, focus, drive. It also curbs appetite (which is great if you wanna lose weight) gives you a nice positive high and makes you more pro-social and outgoing. Night clubs are great on amp salts. It actually makes any activity where you move or need to focus work better... your brain litterally becomes a spunge too... addy can make even the dryest book turn into a seriously addicting page turner. I highly recommend it. Especailly the instant release version for fun times... but the extended release is probably better for you and makes it harder to abuse.
One down side is, it will most likely affect your ability to sleep, even if only taken first thing in the morning, it's not uncommon for people to develop insomnia.
Amphetamines make me very paranoid. Not in a sense people are going to come after me but just this anxiety filled paranoia. Like this constant, on the edge feeling. I can't describe it. Not pleasant...curb appetite wonderfully though. They're highly addictive though. Kind of like cigarettes in the way people to describe when they quit "you still miss them from time to time" that's how amphetamines are.
They don't make you more focused. They aren't going to make you magically find drive. You aren't going to remember everything you read on them. They keep you awake...that's how they are for me. You sure as hell won't be tired on them.
I wouldn't recommend doing them for fun. Though I've only abused them 3 times.
