Related to this discussion, that is a very fun point to think about. They might add something to it to make those who use it addicted to robo-sex through the same line of thinking that allows cigarettes to thrive.

That one too. I was about to make a point about pheromones and things of that nature, but then I questioned why a robot couldn't eventually release the same things, if not stronger concentrations of it than normal? For all we know, robots may end up appearing sexier than humans on an instinctual level.

For all we know, sex might cease from a widespread enough disease to make it deadly, forcing artificial reproduction as the only means of procreation left.
The show Rick & Morty went into detail about a race that procreated through sex robots that would collect their sperm and gather it to a central nexus of sorts designed for procreation, since the males had become too violent for sex to even remain a viable idea anymore.
If you ask me, the dangers posed by sex robots span as far as the dangers people build into them, if not a countermeasure against the dangers people try to avoid. It may be something people pursue for more than decadent reasons later on.
More than likely it's developments will remain mostly hedonistic however, as even our current market for sex toys is growing rapidly (especially for women). There's Teledildonics (I love that word), headphone attachments that use the vibrations of sound to coordinate vibrations themselves, all sorts of crazy things. There may even eventually be a way to "have sex" over the internet by sending the sexual data from one end to another via IM.
I couldn't imagine fucking something that has no life behind their eyes, no change in rhythm during the thrusting, no will to eventually toss your ass to the side to ride "you" for a change.
