I like the raging thunderstorms that make you feel insignificant. The ones that rip trees out of the ground from only the wind; the ones that rain so hard horizontally that it sounds like a constant bang on the window; the ones that flood the people unfortunate enough to live in low elevation.

The beauty of the sheer power leaves me awe-struck. One day, I think... One day...

I'm more of the quiet, peaceful, temperate yet foggy night sort of person. Storms and the like make everything wet and unpleasant outside, plus they can be noisy and can risk turning off the power (not to mention power surges). Fog to me is far more passive, soothing, and the only real risk is visibility.

I've lived through two cyclones, which was somewhat exciting. You just never what's going to happen in a situation like that.

The first one only did some minor damage because we only got the tail wind of the cyclone and not the full force.

The second cyclone, which happened years later, literally ripped off a section of the roof of the house my daughter and I were living in and, because part of the ceiling caved in as well, it caused the house to flood. I remember the wind being so strong it sounded like a freight train roaring past.

I like thunderstorms a lot. But one time I wasn't in a solid state of mind and I thought the world was ending and God was trying to flood Earth.

I'm outside too much to prefer anything other than the sun. I have to be out in rain, blizzards et cetera, and that's no fun after a while.

I like rain and really enjoy thunderstorms. Generally I dislike the cold, but I had one experience with a blizzard that was amazing. Rain fell and then froze, covering the entire city in ice. The power went out because the weight of the ice knocked over some power poles. Cars were wrecking and ambulance and police were everywhere, it was kind of surreal. I think tornadoes are interesting too, although I've never been very close to one.

Most of all I do enjoy the winter snow storms.

The ice crust that develops over my winter beard provides me with facial insulation.

The fast pace I walk at provides me the appropriate amount o quickly dissipating heat.

The facial expressions of people who seem bewildered at my disposition are amusing.

I do enjoy the other elements as to make me feel alive as well.
