What you wrote above makes sense. A alpha hunter would need to be able to control his fear in order to bring down some larger more aggressive prey. If I was overcome with fear I wouldn't be able to do some of the things I can do. Confidence is a powerful tool.

He knows that if a consequence to an action results in him taking a greater loss then not commiting that action at all. He will figure another way to achieve his goals. Survival of the fittest.
