Psychopath/Sociopath Communities and recommended reading

Hey everyone. First post here.

I'm someone who within the last year has begun to come to terms with my own psychopathy/sociopathy (still fuzzy on the proper nomenclature). I've done plenty of academic reading on the subject, and while it has been informative, a lot of it is over my head. Many websites seem strictly focused on explaining what a psychopath/sociopath is to normals, or are communities of people angry about the sociopath they picked up on a dating site. I'm interested in reading more about the experiences of people like me and how they've dealt with normal life. Does anyone here have any other communities online, blogs, or what-have-you that you can recommend?

Why would we recommend you to other communities when we want this one to stay active?

To facilitate the idea that this is a community of resourceful people worth visiting? A forum is great, but it's hard to pick through such a basic forum for the information I'm looking for. Articles and blogs make for good reading.

Then do some research yourself and add the articles on this forum that you think will be worth discussing. That's how this shit works.

Like I said, I'm having trouble finding anything helpful. I was hoping that by reaching out (for the first time), I might be able to find some people to point me in the right direction, thereby enabling me to be someone who might be able to contribute to others in the future. I'm not looking to suck information out of everyone here and abandon the community. This is the first active community I've come across in my searching that isn't just full of normal people, and I had no intention on not being a participating member.

My initial instinct was to lash out and generally be an asshat in response, but I changed my mind. It's just counterproductive. No sense in looking like a complete asshole in my first three posts here.

What has you confused about it?

I guess it's more that they don't have any practical information. Stuff I've read always goes into brain chemistry, speculation as to the causes, and just clinical diagnosis stuff. Don't really know where to go for anything useful or interesting.

What kind of information are you interested in learning because I'm trying to do the same thing myself

Over the last couple days in this community, I've become a bit confused on that myself. I think that I was hoping there were places online where I could find some information not for clinicians, normals, and people looking to avoid people who are different. Practical information from people who experience like like I do who have to deal with this shit, who have to deal with their brain operating in a completely different way to everyone around them.

I keep picking though Google, and haven't found anything. And from the lackluster response to this thread, I'm concerned that there isn't anything out there.

This place has been a great source of self-discovery for me the last couple days though. It's better than nothing.

So far, I haven't seen any indication that your brain operates much differently from the average person. So, I'm curious. What makes you think it does?
