I talk to myself when im thinking, it helps me to think clearer
Thought disorder isn't exactly common. :x
Indeed isolation can lead to people voicing their thoughts, still, normal people seldom do that. I voice my thoughts inappropriately regardless of being alone or in a group.
Didn't really hear anything about it being a trait to a specific disorder ('sides Schizo). Maybe anxiety plays a part in that too.
If you really listen closely, a surprising amount of people at least slightly vocalize their thought processes, especially when stressed out. Even without listening closely a lot of people do that.
I guess by your logic a surprising amount of people must have thought disorders then.
Edit:
Thrill Kill: "People think I isolate my daughter from her friends, but she still has her online friends that she talks to every day."
You must not be then, as that's fairly easy to shut down.
Nope, they don't voice the thoughts like I do. O.o I'm not counting "self-agreeing" as talking to oneself.
At least, in this school they talk a lot, but nothing like actually saying what they're thinking. It's pretty obvious which are train of thoughts and which are planned sentences.
Maybe not like you do, but how often do people think identically?
Here's Psychcentral's perspective on the matter.
Do any of you argue with yourselves?
Its between two voices, occasionally a third. One is usually is brash, noble, and can be found shouting or yelling most of the time. The other is calm and utilizes my temptations to showcase his point. I see myself as the 3rd person watching the arguement and enjoying it.
I've read about this in some of bruce lee's philosophical notes. He too heard voices in the same manner.
