I like aspies. One reason is that I feel that they are more like me than "ordinary people" in some way. I also feel (with more extreme cases I've met) that there is something wrong with them. Not really wrong...but they could or perhaps should be more like me instead. So those with those persons I have been in a kind of mentoring relationship. What I dislike about them is that it would be horrible for me to be like them (the extreme cases). They lack something I need to have.
Still aspies are genuine in a way that "normal" people aren't. An aspie can say things that are completely inappropriate, because he doesn't know any better. So this, not having to fake anything is of course an disadvantage to them, but in a way it's better than doing it. So I feel like I want to slap the face of an aspie, but at the same time I admire them in a way.
