 No. Underdevelopment of the brain due to abuse does not equal PTSD.

You can't just "get over" a section of the brain that hasn't developed properly.

In Dexter's case though, PTSD is very likely playing a role in his psychological development.

 No not at all. The might have similar causes but doesnt meant they are the same thing. I am not traumatized by my past if anything Im thankful for it. I like the way I am and I wouldnt be the same person I am today if I didnt live through all the bad and the good. I cant say I relate to the other guy cause the abuse never really got to me emotionally. It just hurt physically and verbal abuse is just annoying.
