An emotional deficit does not have to be a handicap, if you accept your limitations, and disregard the standard social expectations associated with it, by adjusting your definition of "love" to encompass what you can experience, as opposed to what you can't. When "love" becomes a practical choice and a guiding philosophy, as opposed to a sustained emotional state, it changes everything.
I hadn't thought about it like this. Maybe I've been looking for something that I can't experience.
