Psychopath Night Video - What Would You Have Done?

There's an interesting scene in the Psychopath Night video (about 38 minutes and 34 seconds in) where Kevin Dutton asks people what they would do in a particular scenario:

"Imagine you're in a room with a newborn baby and the baby is laying in a cot fast asleep. And you have to believe me when I tell you this is true okay, this is just for a thought experiment. You have to believe me when I tell you that that newborn baby, when he grows up, will grow into Adolf Hitler. okay. You have got a pillow in that room and you've got 2 minutes. When you walk out of that room, is that baby still alive or is he dead?"

I'm curious what choice you would make and why.

Here is the video:

It every variable led to the Adolph Hitler we know today, I would kill the baby.

My initial thought was that I wouldn't kill the baby because I don't care if it grows up to be Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler did a lot of the things that I wish I had that kind of power to do.

I would spend about 1:50 analyzing the technological advances that were born in the post WWII cold war state of affairs before giving up on trying to figure that out and suffocating the baby out of sheer curiosity.

I guess that means there's no Israel.

That depends on a few things. If it's in modern day, and the real ww2 never happened, I'd be very interested to see what he'd bring to the world. However, I don't think I'd enjoy having to become a soldier, as I don't exactly enjoy taking commands, especially if I was forced to join the army. So I'd probably kill it.

Well, the effect on temporal causality is too much to tamper with.  What if Hitler being born stopped the Antichrist from being born?  The lack of context to the scenario renders the answer always "kill" because there are no consequences.  Does guilt count as a consequence?

The bungie jumping and thrill seeking seem like more pertinent questions or scenarios.  The strange thing is that my seeking of thrills grew over time, having been much more timid when younger.  Scary movies, roller coasters, etc., were anathema when I was a child, including the typical fear of heights.  But where was the fear when I climbed trees way up, for hours?  Once I got past my first initial misgivings I found a lot of pleasure in doing that stuff.  I really do enjoy the rush of adrenaline and the blossom of the feelings associated to it.  I can understand the ultimate rush in killing.  I can see its lure and it doesn't seem so alien or strange.  If life really feels so empty to the sociopath, drastic and extreme action can easily be seen as a fix.  It is addictive.  It seems less alarming.  Psychopathy can sort of be seen as a pathology.  There is treatment, and can be coped with if it can be kept out of its extremes, maybe.

It's not that life is empty. It's the fact that we get bored a lot and don't feel much emotion very often. I feel neutral most of the time and I'm bored almost all the time. It takes a lot more than it does for the average person to feel excitement and stimulation, thus the risk-taking.

I've done quite a few things in my life that could have got me sent to prison, injured or killed, but being in my early 40's now I've slowed down a bit due to some health issues, but there is still that constant craving for stimulation and excitement.

"Empty" may be the subjective term.  I often feel "flat" and takes something more to move into a significant emotional space.  But then, I don't think I get bored as strongly, either.  Not to those levels, so far.

I would not kill the baby as by killing the baby I would not know what hitler would have done in the past and would not have killed the baby. This paradox could have far severe personal concequence than no WO2 could have possitive once.

Or maybey I've just been watching to much science fiction.
